Remembrance Day 2018

Remembrance Day 2018

One hundred years ago,
November 11, 1918,
at 11:00 AM,
the guns of "The Great War" fell silent,
finally.
The red poppies grew
over the ruined fields
and the graveyards of a generation.
A terrible war was over,
but the violence of war still burned
in human hearts,
as it does to this day.
